About Andrew
Andrew Ortner is teaching AB Calculus in the Upper School. Andrew works for Peraton as an engineer at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Loyola University Maryland and a master's degree in electrical engineering from George Washington University.
Andrew previously volunteered with the Silver Spring Fire Department as an EMT and ambulance driver, and currently enjoys coaching youth soccer, baseball, and flag football.
He and his wife, Kathleen, and their two sons Sam (Avalon '30) and Louis (Avalon '37) live in Silver Spring, MD.
