The Avalon School is pleased to welcome international students to live and study in the Washington, D.C. metro area. We
have received applications from young men in Italy, China, and Nigeria. International students will reside with an Avalon host family. This family will provide living quarters, meals and a family away from home for the visiting student.
The Avalon School is approved by the SEVP, Student Exchange and Visitor Program, to accept international students and issue Forms I-20. With an I-20, international students can apply for an F-1 visa to study here in the United States.
The Avalon School partners with The Cambridge Institute to facilitate admissions from China. Prospective families and agents from China can make an inquiry using the web based form found here: CIIE; or send an email to email@example.com.
Submit a completed and signed application form, $100 non-refundable application fee (checks made payable to The Avalon School), an English translated transcript for the previous academic school year, and one teacher recommendation.
Before The Avalon School can issue an I-20 form, United States Immigration and Naturalization Services require that parents of applicants submit proof of their ability to support their child's studies. The Avalon School requires a signed Issusance of I-20 Agreement along with a $3,000.00 issuance of I-20 deposit.
When you have submitted all required forms and deposits to the Admission Office, please contact Mr. Istvan Teleki, International Student Coordinator, to schedule a family interview via Skype. Contact info: 301-963-8022 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
All of the above must be COMPLETED before an international student will be accepted and before a form I-20 will be issued
If you have any additional questions, please call Istvan Teleki, International Student Coordinator, 301-963-8022 or email email@example.com.
