After a successful inaugural year, the Avalon/Brookewood kindergarten program is preparing to expand. Next year we will offer full-day and an academic half-day morning only program. Please contact Sam Phillips at sphillips@avalonschools.org for more information.

THE YEAR OF FAITH
The Avalon and Brookewood communities will make our 6th annual pilgrimage on Saturday, May 11 during the Year of Faith as proclaimed by Pope Benedict XVI. We will begin at Christ the King Church in Silver Spring and end at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception following the route as listed below. The statue of “Our Lady Most Pure” will be carried in procession. The pilgrimage, a walk of approximately 21 miles, will take place in stages and refreshments will be provided along the way.
