THE AVALON/BROOKEWOOD
ANNUAL PILGRIMAGE
SATURDAY, May 7, 2016

The Avalon and Brookewood communities will make their 9th annual pilgrimage on Saturday, May 7, 2016 to celebrate the "Year of Mercy" as proclaimed by Pope Francis.  The statue of "Our Lady Most Pure" will be carried in procession.  The pilgrimage, appximately 21.3 miles,  will take place in stages, and refreshments will be provided along the way....

Avalon Fathers and Sons are encouraged to join Rich McPherson on Thursday night, April 14, at 11:30 PM at the Titanic Memorial in Washington, DC for a rousing commemoration of the sinking of the R.M.S. Titanic and of the example of Christian chivalry the men on board demonstrated in laying down their lives for women and children first.

Come enjoy good storytelling, cigars, poetry, song, and camaraderie. The Titanic Memorial, Washington Channel Park, P & 4th Streets, S.W., Washington DC.

For those who would like to drive down together, vans will depart Avalon at 10:30 PM.
