About Matt
Matt Bronzi, Assistant Headmaster, will continue his work in the classroom this year, teaching a variety of Advanced Placement as well as other science courses. Matt brings his passion for the sciences to Avalon from both the academic and corporate worlds. Following graduation with honors from Rock Valley College in Illinois, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from the University of Dallas. A recipient of the Robert Welch Scholarship, Matt was an integral part of organic chemistry research (published in the Journal of Organic Chemistry, Jan. ’05) at the school. In addition to his studies, he tutored in both mathematics and the sciences. Prior to joining the Avalon faculty, Matt worked with Baxter Bioscience in the manufacture of a meningitis vaccine.
He and his wife, Margaret, and six children reside in Frederick, MD.
