About Rebecca
Rebecca Streeter brings both professional and personal independent school experience to Avalon. A former teacher at the Chevy Chase United Methodist Church Preschool where she served as faculty liaison to the School Board, she also served on the executive board of The Heights School Parents’ Association and edited their monthly newsletter.
She honed her editing and writing skills at the National Rifle Association, where she worked for its Institute for Legislative Action as a production manager for publications.
A graduate of the University of Maryland she holds a B.A. degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology.
Her many duties at Avalon include teaching second and third grade Reading and Language Arts, serving as the school Registrar and overseeing operation of the school’s administrative office.
Becky is the mother of three sons, James, Charles (’07), and William (’11). She resides in Gaithersburg & Culpepper, VA with her husband, Jim.
